Picanto price rises

Kia published a new pricelist incorporating the new 20% rate of VAT which will affect Picanto models from January 4th 2011.

2011 models
Kia have made very minor basic price changes in order to retain OTR prices rounded up or down to the nearest £5. This helps to retain price points which are more visually appealing and aids customer understanding of price walks throughout the model range. Metallic/Mica paintwork will also be increased from £395 to £405.

The increase means that the standard 2011 MY Picanto ’1′ on the road price will go from £7,195 to £7,370 when the new VAT comes into place. The cheapest Picanto derivative, special edition ‘Spice‘, will now go from £6,995 to £7,165 on the road.

2010 Model Year
There are still a few 2010 models in and around the dealer network which are worth looking at, although it’s important to note that supplies of the basic 1.0 Picanto in a solid colour are completely exhausted.

Price protection
Prices will be protected for customers who have already ordered a vehicle up to 23rd December. Kia have no plans to increase the prices on existing 2010 models over and above the impending VAT increase. Metallic/Mica paint however will be affected.

Motability
All Motability orders/applications will be price protected for order confirmations issued by Motability before 31st December.
